Professional skills

Cost reduction for the customer, excellent quality and fast delivery times have been an integral part of the WEISENSEE philosophy for many decades.
The only way to guarantee this is with centralized processes - all under one roof, starting with development and design, tool manufacture, production and component assembly. We master all the process steps involved in manufacturing your component. In fact, we have mapped this entire value chain in-house. Our customers benefit directly from these advantages. Because we can react flexibly to requests. Our customer has only one contact person.

Challenge us, because with us you get everything from one source and everything from one company!

Sometimes it is an idea, a sketch, a drawing, 3D data or even a sample. If our experts and specialists are involved at the planning stage, suitable forging measures can easily be incorporated into the part design to reduce costs and the time factor.

FEM form analysis

Short delivery times in forging technology are the result of optimized process planning. FEM forming simulations reduce iterative grinding in planning and testing - taking into account all relevant influencing parameters. With FEM, tool contours, follow-on tools and cuts do not require step-by-step testing but are produced simultaneously in a coordinated manner.

This saves time and costs.

Our customers benefit from WEISENSEE forming analysis as early as the planning and design phase. This, together with the high level of application expertise of our engineers and technicians, provides us with significant support in checking feasibility and offers an excellent basis for deciding on the optimum forged part.

This offers competitive advantages.

Toolmaking

Our in-house toolmaking department develops and builds highly complex tools for all customer-specific product requirements.

From CAD design to the finished tool, all steps are carried out in-house. We are therefore able to produce new tools and modify existing tools very quickly and cost-effectively.

We shorten the "time to market" factor

Drop forging

Drop forging as a core competence has characterized our company for decades. The know-how of hot forging is the basis for high-quality forgings for extreme loads. Complex cavities in conjunction with precisely coordinated influencing parameters result in forged parts of the highest quality. The use of a wide range of forging units and kinematics results in highly effective processes, adapted to component size, material and quantities.

We forge from 0.001 kg to approx. 100 kg and from batch size 1 to large series, using the following machinery:

5 screw presses
2 eccentric presses
1 electro-hydraulic large press with max. table size of 1,500 x 1,600 mm and max. installation height of 2,150 mm (incl. tools).

We can forge your component too - guaranteed!

Machining

We cannot and do not want to stop the changing times, but rather evolve with them. Today's customers want ready-to-install parts from a single source. Our efficient machining department creates ready-to-install products from our forged blanks at the customer's request. Machining can be carried out on all sides, the machining of important functional surfaces is usually sufficient and offers a perfect price-performance ratio in the overall result.

Heat treatment

Defined technological properties form the basis for durable, heavy-duty forged parts. In many cases, heat treatments are also required before the machining process in order to achieve the required surface quality. Even annealing processes to reduce internal stresses are standard heat treatment processes. Knowledge of the alloys processed in heat treatment forms the basis for our core competence of forging, but is indispensable in the value chain with regard to machining.

Our products can be heat-treated up to dimensions of L 2,400 x W 1,300 x H 1,400 mm per batch, in accordance with aerospace requirements.

Our heat treatment - your advantage!

Surface treatment

Customer specifications often also include special surfaces. A wide variety of processes lead to the desired properties. We take care of the implementation. Even if we carry out this process with external partners, we remain your point of contact. We clarify issues, coordinate dimensions and ensure the desired properties and quality of the end product through dialog. Our partners are flexible and efficient at your side.

Component assembly

The market has an increasing demand for ready-to-install components. Pre-assembled assemblies are also increasingly in demand. In some cases, minor assembly work on our forged parts is already part of the scope of services and is coordinated and carried out as required.

We complete our range of services with component assembly!
