High-strength aluminum alloys achieve the strength of medium steels while at the same time offering significant advantages in terms of their properties and weight. This is why our customers are primarily found in the automotive, aviation and mechanical engineering industries, where, in addition to weight savings, maximum safety, high impact resistance and increased flexural fatigue strength with a high number of load cycles are also important. Due to the narrow temperature window for forming, compliance with the tightly limited process parameters when forging light metals such as aluminum and magnesium is the key to high-quality components. Tool temperature control is therefore of great importance in light metal forging and requires special, application-oriented expertise in addition to modern machinery. We have this expertise. Magnesium alloys

Compared to aluminum, magnesium has a density that is around 30% lower, making it the lightest construction material available. This opens up a wide range of applications for this material, especially in lightweight construction. Due to its extremely high strength values compared to its density, magnesium alloys are among the most valuable and technically interesting materials of our time.

LMpv GmbH (Leichtmetall Produktion- und Verarbeitung GmbH), which is part of our group of companies, has its own production line for melting magnesium alloys and then processing them into blocks or strips. These semi-finished products can then be forged and machined at Weisensee Warmpressteile GmbH according to customer requirements.
